Over the past week, Jim Beaver eSports’ sim racing efforts have seen multiple team drivers take the checkered flag or score exceptionally strong finishes in various iRacing series. Here’s a look at who’s been excelling recently, and where:

Bobby Rafferty has long been a front runner in the Bootleg Racing League, but Saturday night marked the first time he took a checkered flag in the premier Grand National division. Rafferty took the victory over JR Shepherd at Southern National Motorsports Park after leading by as much as five seconds during the race. Rafferty’s Grand National win came after runner-up finishes in both the Street Stock and SK Modified divisions earlier in the night.

For the second week in a row, Brandyn Proudfoot earned his way into the iRacing World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model World Championship main event at Fairbury American Legion Speedway. Proudfoot, who took the Pro 2 victory at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in the Jim Beaver eSports eShort Course Triple Crown, earned his way back into the championship through the official qualifying series earlier this spring.
Everhart Claims CDRA Points Lead After Series Debut
The CDRA Motorsports Drop SuperTruck Series made its long-awaited debut on Monday night at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and Matt Everhart sliced and diced his way through the field from the 27th starting spot to score an impressive second place finish with Rafferty spotting. CDRA serves as a development series for the premier divisions of the Championship Online Racing Teams, meaning that top CORT drivers are ineligible to run the series for points; because winner Mitchell Riggs is ineligible for the CDRA title, Everhart took the championship lead with the runner-up result.
The Week Ahead
Rafferty returns to action with BRL competition later tonight with Dirt Street Stock action at Williams Grove, and Saturday with Grand National racing at Martinsville. Monday will be a busy night with Proudfoot hitting the track at Knoxville Raceway and Everhart looking to extend his CDRA points lead at New Smyrna Speedway, while Tuesday night’s eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series race will see Michael Guariglia and Eric J. Smith hit the track on the NASCAR version of the Daytona International Speedway road course, with a brand new chicane coming out of oval Turn 4.
In the real world, JBeS member Dave Bodio will hit the track at Bear Ridge Speedway in Vermont on Saturday with his wingless sprint car. The event is open to the public; more information can be found here.
