Mint 400 Entry List Update

Entries are beginning to stack up for the 2020 Mint 400, the event’s first since announcing its new status as an independent, non-championship event. As of Friday, 35 entries are signed up to compete in the UTV Pro Turbo class, with an additional nine in UTV Pro NA and eight more in UTV Pro Unlimited, but many more are expected to join all three classes.

Defending Mint 400 winner Mitch Guthrie Jr. will look to make it back-to-back wins in the Turbo class, with 2019 SCORE champion Wayne Matlock, 2019 Baja 1000 winner Justin Lambert, and 2019 Mint 400 Unlimited class winner Brett Comiskey also on the Turbo entry list so far. Current entries for the NA class include 2019 Baja 1000 winner and former Baja 500 overall winner Kristen Matlock and Mia Chapman, who will be making her Mint 400 debut after transitioning from short course. With Comiskey competing in Turbo, an Unlimited field headed up by Jeramiah Drew and Robert VanBeekum will battle for the vacated title.

With the deadline for entry fast approaching, expect all three entry lists to expand dramatically. 2019 Turbo podium finishers Phil Blurton and Austin Weiland, as well as 2019 NA winner Seth Quintero, were not on the entry list as of last week, but are expected to compete. The 2020 Mint 400 will take place from March 3-8 in Las Vegas. More information on the event can be found at themint400.com.
